William F. Benedict

William F. Benedict, 76, passed away peacefully on October 2, 2024, with his family by his side. He is survived by his devoted wife Rosalie (nee Flynn). He was a loving father to William, Jr and his wife Jeannie and Colleen Daley and her husband Jeffrey. He was the cherished Pop Pop to his grandchildren Liam and Caitlin Daley and Grace Benedict. He will be missed by his buddy "DOG". He is also survived by his brother Joe (Martina), sisters Rosemarie and Betty (Steve) and sister- in- law Loretta (Buddy) and many nieces and nephews. Bill was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Elizabeth Benedict.

Bill often said his greatest accomplishment was his children and he loved being involved in their activities. He continued that involvement with his grandchildren. They were a source of great pride.

He served in the Army from 1967-1969 and was very proud of his service to his country. He was a Past Commander of Hatfield American Legion Post 933. He loved anything Irish and was a charter member of Yellow Jack Donohue AOH Montgomery County Division 4. His involvement with the AOH was special to him because it embraced both his heritage and his faith.

Anyone who knew Bill knew that he was a jokester and always had a story to tell. Sometimes he was hilarious, and everyone always enjoyed his company.

Funeral Mass at 11:30 AM Saturday, October 12, 2024, at St Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 40 Spring Mount Rd., Schwenksville, PA 19473. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at the Church Saturday from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM. Interment Calvary Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church or to the "Brendan Coughlin Scholarship Fund" c/o AOH Montgomery County Division #4 P.O. Box 421 Hatfield, PA 19440 would be appreciated.
