William A. Gwynn, Sr.

William A. Gwynn, Sr., 90, passed away April 13, 2023. Bill was the beloved husband for almost 68 years to Sylvia P. (nee Rocca). Bill was the loving father of William A., Jr (Ellen), Stephen A. (Carol), Cynthia M. Sorensen (Takay), Kathleen T. Gallagher (Daniel), Patricia J. Labrador (Philip) and the late Susan P. Gwynn-Miley. Bill is survived by his sister Barbara Cullen, 16 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.

Bill was born and raised in Philadelphia, graduated from Dobbins Vocational School and became a highly skilled tool and die maker. Bill worked many years for Spalding in Philadelphia before relocating to Chalfont, PA in 1969. Bill worked for Moore Products in Springhouse, PA until his retirement.

Bill actively supported his children with leadership and assistant roles in Cub Scouts, Boy and Girl Scouts, and was an assistant coach for girls soccer. Bill was also an active volunteer for St Jude's Church in Chalfont and Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church in North Wales.

Funeral services will be held Friday, April 21, 2023 at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Church 1325 Upper State Road North Wales, PA 19454. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m., and the mass will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital to (www.stjude.org) or the Alzheimer’s Association (www.alz.org).
