Walter R. Fluck, Jr. passed away Saturday, May 5, 2018 at his home in Chalfont. He was 71.
Walter leaves behind his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda and his children Walter R. Fluck III (Cathy), Michael E. Fluck (Kathy) and Jason E. Fluck (Mary Jane). Also surviving are his sisters Theresa Ott (John) and Kathy Corsner (Steve) and three grandchildren Bethany, Walter IV and Tyler. After high school, he was drafted into the Army and served his country during the Vietnam War. When he was released, he began his journey as a truck driver and worked for R.W. Smith and Lehigh Valley Dairies. Walter loved trucks and was a hard working truck driver his entire life. If he drove on a road, he remembered it and you could call him for directions anytime. His trips always included coffee and diners. He was a great story teller and always included a classic joke or pun.
In the last few years, he enjoyed watching classic westerns while relaxing in his recliner; attending his grandchildren's sports games; and going to see the Phillies baseball games.
His battle with cancer began in 2004 and he fought hard for many years.
Friends and family are invited to attend his viewings 7-9PM, Wednesday, May 9, 2018 and 8:30 AM until his Funeral Service at 10 AM, Thursday, May 10 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA. Interment will follow at Doylestown Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital at www.stjude.org .
