Thomas W. Kirn

Kirn Thomas W. , 81, of Chalfont passed away at his home on August 9, 2022. He was the husband of the late Frances A. (nee Corney) and son of William T. and Sarah C. Kirn (née Warner), both of whom preceded him in death. Father of Carolyn Schemm, Francie Hoch and Diane Bell. Grandfather of Christopher, Benjamin, James, Danielle, Jacob, Miranda, Patrick and Karina. Tom was a proud Army Veteran, serving for 3 years, having enlisted after high school. Fresh out of the Army he started his career at the US Mint in Philadelphia. He went on to be a talented and well-respected machinist and programmer, who worked for many years throughout the Philadelphia and Bucks County areas, culminating in owning his own precision machining company. He loved spending time with his family. He was an avid shooter and hunter and enjoyed participating in many shooting competitions over the years, including at the national level. He was was an expert marksman and a Lifetime Member of the Bucks County Fish and Game Association. Funeral Service will be 12 PM Monday August 15, 2022 at the Scanlin McDonald Funeral Home 175 East Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing from 10:30 AM to 12 PM. Interment will be Tuesday August 16, 2022 at 10 AM at Glenwood Memorial Park in Broomall, PA. In lieu of flowers donations to the Pennsylvania Federation of Sportsmen and Conservationists (www.pfsc.org) would be appreciated.
