Teresa Helen Danko, 95, of Audubon, Pa., passed away peacefully on February 29, 2024 surrounded by

her family. Born March 28, 1928 in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., she was the daughter of John and Mary (Lesko)

Kascak. Teresa graduated from St. Nicholas High School in Wilkes-Barre, Pa. and briefly attended both

Misericordia College and Wilkes College. She enjoyed many activities during her younger years, and was

especially fond of ice skating, attending local dances and spending time with her girlfriends at the

Chatterbox in Ocean City, N.J. She married Joseph Danko on May 10, 1958 after a long courtship, and

the couple began their family shortly thereafter. Due to her husband’s work, Teresa and her family lived in

numerous areas before finally settling in Lansdale, Pa. It was in this home, where she lived for nearly 35

years, that Teresa developed life-long friendships with her neighbors. She loved to bake and became

known for her warm hospitality, always welcoming visitors with the cake du jour. Once empty-nesters, the

couple moved to Audubon, Pa., becoming founders in the newly-built Shannondell retirement community.

During this, her last chapter of life, Teresa created many happy memories both with new neighbors and

old friends. She was notorious for keeping in touch with those she loved right up until her final days,

sending a card or writing a note just to say hello. She carried a deep faith in God, had a kind heart and

always enjoyed a good laugh. Her wisdom, playful sense of humor and love of life will be greatly missed.

Teresa celebrated 57 years of marriage to Joseph, the love of her life, prior to his passing in 2016. She is

survived by her five children: Cynthia A. Danko, Lisa A. Fellmeth (Michael), Mary T. Binkley, Joseph A.

Danko and Patricia A. Danko; seven grandchildren: Audrey Metzger (Rhian Lockard), Kevin Metzger

(Amanda), Amanda Fellmeth (Adam Olson), Katie Woods (Jack), Alex Fellmeth, Emily T. Danko, Joseph

A. Danko; and two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother Albert, and sisters

Irene Ernst and Mary Gulen.

Relatives and friends are invited to a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. on Friday, March 8 at St. Rose of

Lima Church, 424 S. Main St., North Wales, Pa., followed by a mass of Christian burial at 11 a.m.
