Stephen R. Mccarter

Stephen Russell McCarter (Steve) passed away quickly and suddenly on June 13, 2023. He was 63 years old. He was born on February 18, 1960 in Philadelphia, PA to Marianne and Frank McCarter.

Steve was a loving son, brother and uncle.

He is survived by his mother, Marianne Kiley McCarter, his brother, Kenneth McCarter (Kerry), sisters, Tarin Houghton (Yale), Kandis Murphy (Michael) and niece, Erin Rosenbaum and nephew Kyle Houghton.

He was predeceased by his father, Frank Joseph McCarter, and by his sister Marialaina Kiley McCarter.

Steve enjoyed life and was eager to make a friend everywhere he went. He graduated from Faith Christian Academy in Sellersville, PA.

He worked in retail until moving to Florida to be closer to family. He was an avid mystery book reader, and a crossword puzzle enthusiast. He loved old movies (and new ones) and “Big Band“ music.

He enjoyed going to the Share Spot in Punta Gorda to see his friends every week. He also enjoyed traveling with his family and saw every trip as a chance to have an adventure. He had a kind and gentle heart and soul, and he will be truly missed.
