Bonacci, Rosario (aka: Russell) of North Wales, PA, died June 30, 2022. He was born in 1928 in Carbondale, PA, the second of four children. During the Korean War, he served in the U.S. Navy. After the war, he met and married Margaret, took a job with the U.S. Postal Service and was assigned to Philadelphia. The couple settled in Northeast Philadelphia and raised two daughters. He was an active member of the Sons of Italy. Russ retired as a mail carrier in the Postal Service’s Bustleton Station. He then worked in the mail service for Arcadia University, Glenside, PA, and retired from there. In the 1980s, he and Marge moved to the active-adult Village of Neshaminy Falls (VNF) in North Wales, PA, where they were frequently seen at the pool and on the bocce court, and Russ in the card room. Marge died in 1997. Russ had many friends in VNF, including Margaret (Peg) Hardy. He died while residing at Phoebe Wyncote, a nursing facility in Wyncote, PA. He is survived by his two daughters, Barbara (Darell) Larson and Donna (Thomas) Loyle. A viewing will be held at Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, 175 E. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA, 18914 on Sunday, July 10, 2022, from 6 to 8 pm. A funeral mass will be held at Mary, Mother of the Redeemer Catholic Church, 1325 Upper State Rd., North Wales, PA 19454 on Monday, July 11, 2022. Visitation at 9:30 am, and mass at 10:30 am. Internment at St. John Neumann Cemetery, 3797 County Line Rd., Chalfont, PA, will immediately follow the funeral mass.
