Rosemary "Rose" Annanie, formally a resident from Chalfont Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully on July 8, 2021 at the age of 74.

Rosemary was born on February 10, 1947 in Philadelphia. She graduated from Hatboro Horsham High School in 1964.

Rosemary began her distinguished musical career at the young age of four when she auditioned and performed as a singer on the Horn & Hardart's Children's Hour.  She performed for many years as a regular on this show. Eventually she began singing with her brother and sister known as the Cooney Trio. The trio performed on the Ted Mack show which led them to perform at Madison Square Garden.

They performed for several seasons in Atlantic City at the legendary Steel Pier, a children's television show in New York City, and then signed a recording contract with Chancellor Records. Rosemary recorded two records under this label, Fairyland and Calypso Parakeet. To promote the release of Calypso Parakeet, the record label sent live parakeets along with the records to radio stations across the country. She continued her singing career with the Al Raymond Orchestra until she decided to begin her own family.

In her later years, Rosemary enjoyed reading books, completing jigsaw puzzles, and spending time with her friends and family.

In June of 1965, she married the only love of her life, the late Leonard Annanie. Rosemary was the mother of three children; the late Lisa Annanie, Rochelle L. Black (Scott), and Leonard Annanie, Jr.  Her brother Leonard Cooney (the late Jim Tobin), her sister Patricia Linus (Richard) and two grandchildren also survive her.

Family and friends are invited to attend her viewing 10-11 AM, Tuesday, July 13, 2021 followed by her Funeral Service at 11 AM at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA.  Interment will be at St. John Neuman Cemetery.
