Rose Marie E. Hug

Rose Marie E. "Rosie" Hug, a cherished resident of Doylestown, PA, passed away on November 27, 2023. Rosie leaves behind family and friends who loved her.

A dedicated former employee of Bell Telephone Company, Rosie found happiness in her retirement by reading and tending to a vibrant garden of breathtaking flowers, enhanced with birdhouses crafted by her father. Rosie found joy in her love for nature and animals.

Rosie devoted many years to being a comforting presence and caretaker for her mother, Marie. Her affection extended to her cousins, Hedy Troyano and Wilfred Hug, and she maintained meaningful connections with Swiss relatives. Rosie enjoyed many lifelong friends.

Even in her later years, Rosie remained intellectually sharp, engaging in discussions about news and politics, showcasing a keen interest in the world around her. She found spiritual fulfillment as a devoted follower of Jesus, being a longstanding member of Hilltown Baptist Church, where she cultivated enduring friendships.

Having resided independently at Pine Run Community Independent Living for the past 12 years, Rosie lived an active and self-sufficient lifestyle until the last few months of her life. As we bid a fond farewell to Rosie, let us cherish the memories and remember her with fondness.

A service will be held on Thursday, November 30 at Beulah Chapel in Beulah Cemetery, 238 Almshouse Road, New Britain, PA. Visitation will be at 10:00 and the service at 10:30. Burial will follow the service and a light lunch will be provided in the Chapel afterward.
