Rose Lugowe, 100, of Hatfield, PA, passed away, Sunday, Feb 13, 2022. Born in Passaic, NJ she resided in Passaic her entire life until 2016, when she moved to Hatfield. Before retiring she worked for the city of Passaic for 34 years. She started as a Secretary in the Engineering Department and retired as an Administrative Secretary to the Mayor and Business Administration. She was also secretary to the Planning Board, M.U. A., and City Employees Association. Rose lived a fulfilling life and loved reading, knitting, traveling, and visiting with family and friends. She also loved animals, was an accomplished bowler, and a formidable card player. She always brought her camera and over the years created a treasure trove of photos going as far back as the early 1940’s. Rose loved spending summers in Cape Cod with her longtime companion Ralph Sandor, who predeceased her. She was a member of St. John Kanty Golden Circle, Mount Carmel Seniors and Friendship club of Clifton. Rose was the loving daughter of Sophie (nee Kotsko) and Stanley Lugowe who both predeceased her in death. Rose is survived by several cousins, their spouses and children who lovingly remember and refer to her as “Cousin Rose”.
