Robert E. Rutherford

Robert E. Rutherford, 83, of Upper Saucon Twp., died September 24, 2022 Saturday at St. Luke's Bethlehem. He is the husband of the late Judith (Powell) Rutherford. Robert was born in Doylestown on June 28, 1939 to the late Chester and Helen (Birch) Rutherford. He started his career as a cook in the family diner, later becoming a horse trainer, and finishing his career as a painter for Paul Osborne Painting, Souderton for many years. Robert was an avid Eagles fan.

Children: Kimberly (Willie) Worrell of Warrington, James (Teresa) Rutherford of Springtown, Michelle (Larry) Knechel of Pennsburg, Joseph (Jenn) Rutherford of Richlandtown, Robert Rutherford of Solebury; brother: Gerald (Barbara) Rutherford; step children: David (Michelle) Pomeroy of Chalfont, Randy (Tina) Pomeroy of East Norriton, Ruth (Laszlo) Bukta of Coopersburg; 17 grandchildren, several great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Predeceased by a sister: Beverly Arnold.
SERVICE:
Family and friends are invited to a visitation period from 9:30 – 11 a.m. Friday, October 7, 2022 at the Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, Ltd. 175 East Butler Avenue, Chalfont, followed by the service at 11 a.m.
