Robert D. Sterner

Robert D. Sterner of Franconia Township and formerly of New Britain Boro and Franklin Township in Hunterdon Co. NJ , passed away Tuesday October 3, 2017. He was 82.

Born in Easton, PA, he was the son of the late Henry and Hannah Sterner. Bob is survived by his loving wife Dorothy (Miller) Sterner; his brother Richard Sterner (Ida); his sister Pearl Hause (the late Eugene) and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a 1952 graduate of Easton High School and attended Rutgers University. He served in the US Army and was stationed in Korea. Over his lifetime, he worked for many companies in plastic research including Tenneco Chemicals, M&T Chemicals and Elf Atochem, NA and was a member of Society of Plastic Engineers.

While in New Jersey, he was a member and Elder of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Pittstown and currently was a member of Doylestown Presbyterian Church. Bob was also a former member and officer of the Easton De Moley, the Easton Lodge, F&AM no. 152 and Chalfont Lions Club.

Friends and family are invited to attend his Funeral Service 11 AM, Saturday, October 7, 2017 at Doylestown Presbyterian Church, 127 East Court Street, Doylestown, PA where the viewing will begin at 10 AM. Interment will be at Locust Grove Cemetery in New Jersey. In lieu of flowers, donations in Bob's memory may be made to Pine Run Hospice, 777 Ferry Road, Doylestown, PA 18901.
