Richard (Dick) Pisut, a longtime resident of Chalfont, PA, passed away peacefully at his home on January 7, 2020. Dick was 80 years old.
Born and raised in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia to the late Peter and Mary Pisut, Dick is survived by his three sons, Scott (Chris), Tom (Tracy), and Jeff; his three brothers, Robert, Ronald (Lisa), and Roy (Jean); and his six grandchildren, Kevin, Colin, Madison, Dianna, Alyssa and Max.
After graduating Central High School in 1957, Dick briefly attended Drexel University then worked for Sealtest Ice Cream. He went on to work at Allstate Insurance, but his passion was with automobiles, always doing auto body side-work along the way. Dick established his first auto body business in Conshohocken, PA in 1971 where it still operates today.
Dick frequented hundreds of car shows over the years, and with his gift of gab and charm, he met and made lots of friends. Dick's other passion was helping stray cats. He also liked to distribute leftover bakery roles and bread to family, friends, and people in need. Dick was kind to everyone he met, and will be missed by many.
Friends and family are invited to a celebration of his life on Saturday February 1, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Avenue (Route 202), Chalfont, PA 18914 where the family will greet friends beginning at 10 AM.
