Richard J. Schlegel

Richard J. Schlegel, 82, passed away on September 10, 2021. Husband of Joan C. (nee Schuster). Father of Rich , Bob and Janice Convey (John). Grandfather of Steven, Andrew and the late Justine. Richard was a Korean Veteran and proud graduate in the first graduating class of 1957 from Father Judge High School. At Father Judge he was a member of the first Catholic Championship Baseball Team as well as a member of the Football Team. During his career Rich was a Sheet Metal Worker, journeymen , belonged to Local Union 19, and was known to be quite the handyman who could fix or build anything. Rich also enjoyed coaching and Coached Summerdale Boys club Football, Baseball as well as Our Lady of Calvary Football, Baseball. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at the Church at 10;30. Funeral Mass 11:30 AM Thursday September 16, 2021 at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave. Chalfont, PA 18914. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations in his name to Father Judge Baseball , 3301 Solly Avenue Philadelphia PA , 19136 would be appreciated.
