Rhoda Belle Stephenson

Rhoda Belle Stephenson, a resident of Doylestown, passed away Friday November 23, 2018. She was 97.
Born in Lovell, Maine, Rhoda is survived by her eldest daughter Paula Applegate (Stephen); grandchildren Jamie Dawson, Nat Elliott (Kira), Sam Elliott; and great granddaughters Kia Dawson and Teagan Elliott. She was predeceased by her daughters Patti Elliott and Lilla Stephenson and her grandson Zachary Dawson.
Rhoda graduated from Newton School of Nursing. A veteran of WWII, she served her country as a 1 st Lt. Nurse in the Airforce. Later she worked as a nurse at Delaware Memorial Hospital and then as head nurse at Christiana Hospital in Delaware.
Rhoda enjoyed sewing, crewelwork, playing pool and playing our much loved family game of Rummikub. But her favorite joy was spending time with her family.

A private memorial will be held by the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Special Olympics 2570 Blvd.of the General, Norristown, PA 19403.
