Paul M. Hunter

Paul M. Hunter, 77, originally of Mayfair in NE Philadelphia and then Gwynedd, PA, passed away on October 4, 2024. Husband of Virginia S. (née Morris) and Father of the late Susan M., Kristen N., Michael A.L. (Brynne) and Peter M. (Traci). Loving grandfather of Lauren, Julianne, Sophia, and Mia. Brother of Richard Hunter (Floss), Walter Hunter, and the late Carol Saskiewitz. Paul is also survived by a number of nieces and nephews as well as many friends from his parish community.

Paul, affectionately known as ‘Pop’ by his family, was a wonderful and gentle man. He had a deep faith that he lived out through actions and deeds. He loved to spend time outdoors whether it be sailing, golfing, or working in his yard. He had a long and successful career in finance, working at First Pennsylvania, Chemical Bank, PNC . Pop was a man of many facets, a lover of all forms of music, ballet, Philadelphia sports teams (Go Phils), and traveling. Each of these loves held no light to the love that he held for the family that he and Ginny lovingly built. Their love story will remain a reminder of faith, hope, and love to us all.

A funeral mass will be held at 10:30 AM on Friday, October 11, 2024, at St. Rose of Lima Church 424 S. Main St. North Wales, PA 19454. Relatives and friends are invited to the visitation at the Church on Thursday evening from 6 to 8 PM and Friday morning after 9:30 AM. Interment St. John Neumann Cemetery.
