Pamela A. Burke Profile Photo

Pamela A. Burke (née Marino) of Chalfont, PA, passed away on April 18, 2024 at 74 years old.

She is predeceased by her parents, Philip and Vivian Marino and her sister, Lisa Anthony. The

oldest of 4 in a tight-knit Italian-American family, Pam grew up in Mount Airy and graduated

from Temple University. She subsequently became the music teacher at Buckingham

Elementary where she was an ever-present tour de force for the next 35 years. In addition to

Buckingham, she also intermittently taught music at Pine Run and Barclay. Pam was a much

beloved educator by students and colleagues alike, and generations of students will recall her

passion for Mozart and Bruce Springsteen. She will live on in the memories of countless

students who recall her music classes and stage productions, and who received from her the

life-long gift of the love of music.

Pam was also a loving mother, aunt and sibling. Her home was frequently the gathering point

for family, particularly at Christmas. As a tremendous cook, her recipes have been passed on

many times over. Pam was a devoted Philly sports fan, deriving particular joy (and much pain)

from the Eagles. Her recent years have been dedicated to spoiling her 2 beloved grandsons,

with FaceTime being the lone technical invention of the 21 st century that she allowed herself to

master.

She is survived by her son, Michael Burke, daughter-in-law, Priya Kohli, grandsons Bodhi and

Kian, siblings Philip Marino, and Denise Campbell, and nieces and nephews Douglas, Natalie,

Gabriella, Philip Jr. and Adriana.
