Norbert "Bud" Hysick, a resident of New Britain Borough, passed away suddenly on Thursday, November 16, 2017. He was 83.
Bud was born in Tresckow, PA and was a 1960 graduate of Wilkes College. Prior to that, he served in the United States Army and was stationed in Japan shortly after the Korean Conflict. He was employed for 30 years as a salesman by the Joseph Dixon Crucible Company. Following that, he was employed with Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board and Hatfield Auto Auction.
Bud is survived by his loving wife Anita (Sabol) Hysick and beloved children Ron Hysick (Robin), Judy Isely (Brian), and Sharon Reese (Rob). Also surviving are his sister Mary Schumacher (Bill) and six grandchildren Katelyn, Steven, Jonathan, Natalie, Connor and Zachary.
Bud exemplified great faith and loyalty to his family. He had a great sense of humor and made everyone laugh. Bud enjoyed Penn State football and rooted the team on from his living room every fall.
Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at 2:00 PM, on Tuesday, November 21, 2017 at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown, PA followed by his Funeral Mass at 3:00 PM. Private interment with full military honors will be held on Wednesday at Washington Crossing National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in his name may be made to The Wounded Warrior Project at www.woundedwarriorproject.org .
