Mildred “Mitzi” Hoffman

May 11, 2017, our Mother, Mildred "Mitzi" Hoffman (Junod) of Chalfont, PA passed away surrounded by her loving family and her beloved husband of 61 years, Brook.

Mildred was born on the border of Fishtown and Kensington, Philadelphia, the daughter of William and Ditty (Ferguson) Junod. Mitzi was predeceased in death by her sister, Rita Edinger and brothers William Junod and Robert Junod. Surviving is Mitzi's loving and loyal brother, Henny.

Mitzi is survived by her husband Brook and their four devoted children, Brook (Jo) of Plymouth, Mass, Michele (Jim) of Lansdale, Pa., Cheryl (Al) of Fredericksville, Pa, and Gregory of Doylestown, Pa. Mitzi was blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren, Andrea, Janel, Brook, Amy, Renae, Allen, Zane, Nicholas, Kait and 42 day old Nora.

Mitzi was an avid swimmer having started swimming at a very young age. Mitzi passed down her love and joy for life to her children and grandchildren in such a remarkable way. Her listening skills were bar none. Her ability to share of herself was admirable. Mitzi loved to laugh and play Rummikube. She did delightful crewel designing and was an avid traveler. She kept busy at all times and didn't let grass grow under her feet.

Mitzi worked for Doylestown Hospital well into her 70's and was close to her co-workers, they all took pride in their work and work ethic. She enjoyed their company and looked forward to working.
