Michael V. Carr, 76, of Chalfont, died peacefully on Saturday, April 13, 2024. Born June 9, 1947,
in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel V and Elizabeth K Carr. Mr. Carr honorably
served his country in the US Marine Corps and continued his service in the National Guard for
many years. He owned the landmark business of Mike Carr’s Towing and Automotive for 37
years. Mr. Carr also served as a volunteer firefighter for Horsham and Colmar Fire Companies
and as a member of the Public Safety Committee for Montgomery Township.
He was an avid Philadelphia sports fan; he enjoyed racquet ball, golf and the shore. Mr. Carr
was affectionately referred to by those close to him as “The Bubber.”
Mr. Carr is survived by his children, Michael C. Carr (Judy) of Chalfont, Tracy Coyle (Martin) of
Merion Station, Kelly Neary (TJ) of Devon and eight Grandchildren; His sister Patricia Mager
(Charlie, deceased) and brothers Stephen Carr (Patricia) and James Carr (Mary).
Mr. Carr was preceded in death by brothers Daniel Carr and Thomas Carr (Deborah).
Family welcomes relatives and friends on Friday, April 19, 2024, beginning at 10am at St. Jude’s
Church and Shrine at 321 W. Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914, followed by the Funeral Mass at
11am. Burial will be private at a later date.
