May Haymes Clark of Doylestown, passed away peacefully on December 3, 2017, shortly after a Sunday afternoon family visit and just 2 months shy of her 90 th birthday. Although in failing health for some time, she lived the remainder of these past few months the same as she lived her life - with love in her heart, a smile on her face, and laughing at the humor found in each day.
She was born February 1, 1928, the first daughter of Alex & Violet Haymes and grew up in Philadelphia with her 2 sisters, Gladys and Melva. May lived most of her life in Springhouse and worked in accounting with Moore Pushpin before retiring in 1995.
She was predeceased by her 2 husbands, James Brooks & Richard Kulp and her daughter Carol May D'Amico. May is survived by her son and his wife: Craig & Janet Brooks of Bedminster; 4 grandchildren: Jason D'Amico of Willow Street, PA, Amanda Parker of Hilltown, Jennifer Cheyne of Plymouth Meeting and Allison Brooks of Bedminster, 8 great-granddaughters, her sister, Melva Jane Geiger (Rick) of Huntingdon Valley and her nieces and families. May was a member of Deep Run Presbyterian Church for many years.
Mom was a fun-loving energetic, positive, caring person who enjoyed life and made friends instantly. She had many life-long cherished friends that meant the world to her. May's loved ones always said she had the âgift of gab' and could talk to anyone, but it was her ability to laugh and listen that made moments with her special. May's door was always open, and the cookies & chocolates always on the table. Everyone could count on her being the first to call to sing âHappy Birthday' on their special day.
Although her family will miss May dearly, they will remember her laughter, her smile & her unconditional love forever.
Family and friends are invited to attend her Funeral Services, 10 AM, Wednesday, January 10, 2018, at the Wayside Chapel in Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1156 Horsham Road, Ambler PA where the greeting will begin at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in the cemetery.
