Marianne R. Waters

Marianne R. Waters, 69, of Chalfont passed away peacefully on April 23, 2025, surrounded by her family. She was born in Philadelphia to the late Louis C. and Marie (Lafferty) Waters. Marianne was the beloved mother of David S. Outland, Jr. (Lisa), Richard J. Outland (Katie) and Katie M. Snyder (Jake). She is also survived by her 9 grandchildren whom she adored: Jude, Julianne, Lucy, Evie, Michael, Patrick, Maggie, Emma and Caroline, and her loyal siblings, Regina Waters and Michael Waters. She was predeceased by her brother Louis Waters.

Marianne was a familiar face and beloved presence in the community, known for her years of dedicated service at The Roasted Pepper in Chalfont, Daddypops Diner in Hatboro, and her more than 25 years at Byers’ Choice Ltd. However, her most cherished role was that of “Grandmom.” She found immense joy in spending time with her 9 grandchildren, especially on their day trips to Dutch Wonderland and Dorney Park—loving memories with her “9 blessings.” Over the last fifteen years of her life, Marianne spent the majority of her weeknights and weekends enthusiastically traveling across southeastern Pennsylvania to attend youth sporting events, recitals, concerts, performances and birthdays.

Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Marianne’s life at a Funeral Mass on Thursday, May 1, 2025, at 11:00 AM at St. Jude Church, 321 W. Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA 18914. Visitation will begin at the church at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow at St. John Neumann Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that blood donations be made to the American Red Cross in memory of Marianne—a final act of love in honor of her giving spirit.
