Marianne (Frances) Rozycka Dahl, a 42 year resident of New Britain, passed away at her residence Good Friday April 2, 2021 after a 4 year battle with cancer. She was 71 years old. Marianne was the loving wife (45 years) of Larry E. Dahl and mother of Kurt R. Dahl (Areesah Mobley) and Philip M. Dahl. She is also survived by her sister Laura Ann (Rozycka) Feldman (Michael), niece Jennifer Louise Acevedo (Jesse), brother-in-law Gordon W. Dahl, sister-in-law Wendy L. Traver (Bruce), niece Sarah Hauze (Ken Roushey), and nephew Jesse Hauze (Jessica). She was pre-deceased by her parents Genevieve H. (Lazicki) Rozycki and Marion E. Rozycki. She was born in Philadelphia, raised in Bridesburg, and was a proud graduate of St. John Cantius and St. Hubert's High School for Girls. She was the guiding beacon for the entire family, friends, co-workers and students and will be terribly missed by all.
Marianne attended Ursinus College and Temple University where she completed studies in Occupational Therapy (BSOT 1972) and Business Administration (MBA 1984).
Among her major accomplishments were positions as Assistant Director of Occupational Therapy, Moss Rehabilitation Hospital, Academic Fieldwork Coordinator, OT Program, Temple University, Administrative Director of Rehabilitation Services (Doylestown Hospital), Regional VP (Symphony Rehabilitation Services), Program Director of Rehab. Services (Warminster Hospital), Regional Rehab. Manager (Diakon Lutheran Social Ministries), and founding Program Director of OT Assistant Studies (Philadelphia University). Marianne was an inaugural member of the OT Leaders and Legacies Society in recognition of her exceptional commitment to advancing the profession of Occupational Therapy. One of her greatest accomplishments was her contributing authorship for Willard and Spackman's Occupational Therapy, a seminal textbook for her profession. She was a tireless guest lecturer, member/officer of AOTA, POTA and university professor. Her commitment to continually influencing the future of her profession was her passion.
