Maria Cristaldi- Guenther

On Monday, February 24, Maria Cristaldi-Guenther, of Chalfont PA. Passed away peacefully at age 82, from complications of cardiac arrest.

Maria was born on October 7, 1942, in Philadelphia PA. to Antoinette (nee Risi) and Joseph Ferla. She is survived by her husband Richard Guenther of Chalfont PA; son Gary Cristaldi of Orland, PA; her extended family, stepdaughter Lynn (Guenther) Leinbach, husband Paul Leinbach, stepsons Mark Guenther and Jay Guenther, Dr. Michelle Guenther, and sister-in-law Laurie McGowan, niece Stephanie LaRue; grandchildren Jessica, Joelle and Danny Leinbach and Anthony and Jace Guenther and great grandson Aiden Leinbach. Maria was also devoted to her brother Joe Ferla of Orland, PA. who passed away on February 13. Just days after Maria’s Cardiac arrest. The two were inseparable as brother and sister.

Maria Graduated from Little Flower Catholic High School in 1961. She worked for Jefferson Hospital in Philadelphia for over 35 years. She is a member of St Jude’s RCC in Chalfont for 33 years. Maria worked as a volunteer in nursing homes and schools after retirement. She has been faithful to the school and her religious values and is an Alumni Supporter of her High School. 

 She loved all of her extended family, especially the children and grandchildren, she was faithful to the church, her friends and loved all animals. Maria loved to travel with her husband and together they made friends with people from around the country and the world. Her heart was big and full of love and compassion, and she shared her love with everyone. She loved the beach, her family and big dangly earrings, she was always the best dressed person in the room.

Maria will be greatly missed by all who know her.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Thursday March 6, 2025, at St. Jude Church 321 W. Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to the Church after 10 AM. Interment will be in Holy Sepulchre Cemetery following the Mass.
