Margaret R.(McGrath) Rawa, beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on January 26, 2025, at the age of 85. Margaret was born on December 6, 1939, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Honora (Mahoney) McGrath. She was raised in Warrington, PA, and graduated from Little Flower High School, Philadelphia in 1957.


Margaret spent her early years working in the accounting department of Fischer and Porter and she also held roles with various retail companies through the years. When her children were born, she became a dedicated homemaker and volunteered at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart School and the Red Cross.


Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers John, James, Edward, Raymond, Paul, and Robert, and her sisters Catherine McCartney and Ann Thistle.


She will be dearly missed by her loving husband, John, and their cherished children Karen Buck (Scott), John Rawa (Greg), Lisa Morgan (Jim), and Steven Rawa (Heather). Margaret was a devoted grandmother to nine grandchildren (Michael, Katie, Elizabeth, Kelsey, Daniel, Sierra, Jamie, Jacob and Jason) and a proud great-grandmother to four great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sisters Joan Hagenbart and Bernadette Scarborough, several brother-in law and sisters-in-law, and numerous nieces and nephews.


Margaret's warmth, generosity, and boundless love touched the lives of everyone who knew her. She will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and her kind spirit. Her legacy of love and kindness will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.


Services will be held at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 100 Broad Street, Hilltown PA on February 7, 2025. Visitation will be held 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM followed by a Mass with Christian Burial. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Margaret's memory to Grand View Hospice .


Margaret will be forever remembered and deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
