Margaret D. Cody

Margaret "Doris" Cody of Chalfont passed away Sunday, July 7, 2019. She was 93. Born in Bayonne, NJ, she was the daughter of the late William and Winnie Campbell.

Doris was the wife of the late John Cody and the selfless, loving mother of five children: J. Michael Cody (Jan), Peter Cody (Jeanie), Jeffrey Cody (Sue), David Cody (Sue), and Lisa Cody. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

Doris was a lover of music and attended the Juilliard School of Music. She spent the majority of her adult life as a church organist and choir director. Always a source of kindness, wisdom, and humor (some intentional, some not), Doris will be missed by all who knew her and will live on in the hearts of her children and their children.

Family and friends are invited to attend her funeral service, 2:30 PM. Saturday August 24, 2019 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA where the family will greet friends beginning at 1:30 PM. Interment will be private.
