Luigi, 58, passed away suddenly on May 11, 2023. Husband of Virginia A. (nee Gardner) and Father of Michael R. and Rachel A. (fiance Anthony DiDonato). Luigi was the son of Teresa and the late Alberto Pileggi and the brother of Alda McCarthy (Mike), Maurizio Pileggi and Alberto S. Pileggi (Christina). He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews and countless friends.

Luigi was born in Maida, Italy on October 19, 1964. He came to America soon thereafter with his mother and godfather, where his father had already started to put down roots in Ambler, Pa. He started his education at Ambler Catholic, graduated from Wissahickon H.S., and briefly continued studies and enjoyed intramural sports at MCCC. He chose to join his beloved father, best friend and card partner, in the landscaping business and continued that work until the day he died. Luigi was loved and respected by countless people from multiple generations, across the globe. His loss leaves a huge hole in the lives of his family and close friends.

Funeral Mass 11 AM Wednesday May 17, 2023 at St. Rose of Lima Church 424 S. Main St North Wales, PA 19454. Relatives and friends are invited to his viewing at the Church Tuesday evening May 16, 2023 from 6 to 8 PM and Wednesday morning after 10 AM. Entombment at St. Patrick Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations to the L.R.B. Sons of Italy of Ambler would be appreciated.
