Louis "Fred" Meyer, 88, Disciple of Jesus, went home on February 3, 2018 to be reunited with his beloved wife, Mildred (Case), who preceded him 11 years ago.

Fred's faith was bigger ad simpler than one faith tradition. He was a Lutheran, a Baptist, a Presbyterian, and an Independent. He was comfortable worshipping with all of God's people. Fred was blessed with the gift of ministering through prayer. Through the years Fred taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, served as a Deacon, volunteered at a food pantry, did prison ministry for 10 years, and belonged to Gideon International. Fred was an avid blood donor. Fred also loved his country; he served in the Navy, twice. He took serious his civic duty to vote. Above all, Fred loved his family, those in his hometown of Cambridge, MD and his local family. Because of his faithfulness to God, family and country another generation of Meyer's and Tindall's will have a rich heritage.

Fred is survived by his children Barbara J. Tindall (Mark) of Media and William B. Meyer (Judith) of Hatfield. Also surviving are his brother Paul (the late Bonnie); five grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Besides his wife, Fred was also predeceased by his brothers Leonard (Faye) and Lawrence (the late Ramona).

Relatives and friends are invited to meet with the family 6-7:30 PM, Thursday, February 8 and 10:30 - 11:30 AM, Friday, February 9 at The Chapel at the Lutheran Community, 12 Lutheran Home Drive, Telford where Fred's Memorial Service will begin at 11:30 AM on Friday.
