Loree McGuane Murphy Loree McGuane Murphy of Harleysville, Pennsylvania, passed away peacefully, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at the age of 91. In addition to her sister Leah H. Yost, Loree is survived by her children, Sharon M. O’Neill (Patrick), Kathleen M. Schungel (Daniel), Sheila McGuane Kepner (Dennis), Barry R. McGuane (Noreen), Mark P. McGuane (Leslie), Mary Jane Snyder (Bruce), Stella M. Barr, Patricia A. Erario, Joseph E. Murphy, lll (Patricia), Genevieve Clancy (Daniel), Rita M. Cupaiuolo (Craig), Janel A. Doddo (Timothy), and 25 beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her beloved husbands Joseph E. Murphy, Jr., and Raymond A. McGuane, as well as by her sister Miriam H. Bracco, her brothers Rodger Hicks and Eric Hicks, a daughter-in-law Susan M. McGuane (Mark), and a son-in-law Timothy J. Barr (Stella). Loree was born December 17, 1930, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, to Acel W. Hicks and Leora (Hough) Hicks. After attending Brownsville High School, she graduated from California Teachers’ College. Loree was very proud of her long-standing teaching career and served as a beloved kindergarten teacher for many years in the Central Bucks School District. Her life was greatly enriched by extended family, including many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. Special gratitude is extended to her caregivers, who became dedicated members of the family and affectionately cared for Loree. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Loree’s Funeral Mass, 11 AM, Wednesday, April 20, 2022, at St. Jude Church, 321 West Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA, where the viewing will begin at 10AM. Interment will follow at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 3301 W Cheltenham Ave, Philadelphia, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations in Loree’s memory may be made to St. Jude Church, at the above address.
