Kathleen Marie Cullen

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of our mother, Kathleen Marie Cullen (Kitty) nee Raab, aged 93. She left us on December 4, 2024, and is now in the presence of God. Kathleen’s beautifully lived life was full of love, laughter, and resilience as she touched the lives of all who knew her. Kathleen was born in Philadelphia to the late George Raab and Mary McFadden. She was one of seven siblings. She was married to the late William J. Cullen at St. Williams Church in Philadelphia. They were married 63 years.

Kathleen worked over 20 years as a nursing clerk at Holy Redeemer Hospital in Meadowbrook, PA. She was a wonderful mother who was always there when we needed her the most, offering support, wisdom, and love in abundance. In her final years, she resided at Elm Terrace Gardens in Lansdale. She was the President of the Resident Council Board.

She also enjoyed expressing her artistic abilities, reading, lending a hand to others, and always offering prayers. She is survived by her 8 children including William G. Cullen, Kathleen Cullen, Maureen Balawich (Jack Balawich), Susan Cullen, Carolyn Landes (Stephen Landes), Christina Stevenson (Scott Stevenson), Laurie Ann O’Donnell-Saturno (late Nicademo Saturno), Bryan J. Cullen (Whitney Cullen). She is survived by 13 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

To commemorate her incredible journey and to celebrate the love she spread, services will be held at Scanlin McDonald Funeral Home, Chalfont, PA on December 10, 2024 from 9:30-11:30 a.m. followed by the mass at St. Jude Church, Chalfont, PA beginning at 12 noon. We invite all who knew her to join us in remembering a truly remarkable woman. 

The family requests donations may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project (woundedwarriorproject.org); however, flowers are welcomed.
