Josephine E. Shull of Chalfont passed away surrounded by family and loved ones in the early morning hours of March 31st. She was 71.

Born in Abington, she was loving daughter of the late Thomas and Stella (Fanelli) Cristaldi. Josephine is survived by her beloved husband Charles Shull and children Kristin M. Mellon (Kevin) and Daniel Shull. Also surviving are her granddaughters Kiah, Kaeli, Amanda and Bridgette; sister in law Shirley Wolfe (Lee) and brothers Lou Cristaldi and Michael Cristaldi(Janet)

Josephine worked for Abington School District for almost 35 years. She taught kindergarten for 30 of those years and loved going to work each and every day to be with her students and colleagues. Although the career she adored kept her busy, she always made time for her beloved family. After she retired she was able to spend more time on her passions of reading, thrift store shopping, garage sale perusing, and most importantly being with her friends and family, especially her husband, son, daughter, and granddaughters. As much as we will miss our Angel on Earth, we know that she earned her wings and is watching over all who loved her.

Friends and family are invited to attend her Memorial Service 11 AM, Saturday, April 7, 2018 at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA where the visitation will begin at 10 AM. Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Josephine's memory would be appreciated to our family's campaign page for CHOP's Children's Fund at www.chop.donordrive.com under the fundraiser name Jo's Angels. Children were such an important part of her life, and we would like to continue her tradition of donating to their cause.

Please also consider donating blood and platelets at your local blood bank. The acts of so many who selflessly donated their blood and platelets helped Jo to fight this difficult battle and to give us so much more precious time with her.
