In Loving Memory of Joseph T. Bonner
Joseph T. Bonner, 88, of Chalfont, passed away peacefully on 21-Oct-2024 He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend, whose love and generosity touched many lives.
Above all, Joe was a devoted family man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy A. (nee Griffiths), his children Joseph (Carolyn), Nancy Lewman (Thomas), William (Cheryl), Marianne Moll (Ed), John (Christina) and Joanne Bowen (Andrew), his 9 cherished grandchildren Joseph (Kate) Bonner, James Bonner, Jennifer (Christopher) Stoothoff, Jessica (Wayne) Bishop, Kevin (Jessie) Moll, Veronica (Matti) Mascoli, Rachel Bonner, Philip Bonner, Andre Bonner, and his 8 great-grandchildren Miles, Pierce, and Lily Bishop, Rose, Luke and Jack Moll, Michael and Joey Booth.
Joe was pre-deceased by his parents, Joseph and Regina (Coonan) Bonner and his 7 siblings: Margaret (Stan) Kobel, Regina (Walter) Buday, Joseph Bonner, Rosemarie (Albert) Grebel, Bernice Bonner, Jack (Mary) Bonner, and Patricia Bonner.
Born in Philadelphia, Joe had a deep passion for the outdoors, particularly fishing, which he pursued throughout his life. His favorite moments were spent by the water, rod in hand, sharing stories with friends and family. He was also a dedicated craftsman, spending countless hours in his workshop making wooden toys for children at the local women’s shelter. His creations brought joy to many, and his acts of kindness left a lasting impact on the community.
Joe was committed to serving his town, dedicating 37 years of his life as a member of the Chalfont-New Britain Township Joint Sewage Authority Board. His leadership and commitment ensured that the community had a reliable and safe infrastructure, reflecting his sense of responsibility and care for others. He will also be fondly remembered for his love of photography, his ever-present walking stick, and his travels that took him to some of the most beautiful places.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew him, but his legacy of love, service, and craftsmanship will continue to inspire.
A memorial service will be held on 28-Oct-2024 at St. Jude Church 321 West Butler Avenue Chalfont, PA 18914. Relatives and friends are invited to Visitation beginning at 10:00 AM with a Mass to immediately follow at 11:00 AM.
