John Stewart Book Iii

John Stewart Book III at the age of 77 passed away peacefully January 2, 2021 at his home in Chalfont Pennsylvania.

Born December 22, 1943, he was the son of John Stewart Jr. and Hazel (Shaw) Book. John is survived by his wife Katheryn Book, his three children Jarrett Book, Jennifer Smith, and Krista Barlow (Norman). Also surviving are seven grandchildren and two woofers.  John was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He enjoyed many outdoor activities like kayaking, cycling, and working around the yard. John had a passion of working on his trains that was traditionally passed down from his father.

John graduated from Central Bucks High School in 1962 then became a machinist and supervisor at R. Funk and company until his retirement. Friends and family are invited to attend John's viewings 7 -9 PM, Wednesday, January 6, 2021 and 10 AM, Thursday January 7, 2021, followed by his Funeral Service Thursday, at 11 AM at Scanlin Funeral Home, 175 East Butler Ave., Chalfont, PA.  Interment will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park.  Please remember to wear masks and follow social distancing guidelines as number of people permitted in funeral home are limited.
