Mr. John P. Paynter, 86, a resident of Lutheran Community of Telford, passed away peacefully

on September 24, 2024. He was the son of John A. and Virginia Sauer Paynter of Russell,

Kentucky. He was preceeded in death by his wife Emily Ward Paynter, parents, sister Betty

Jean and brother Vincent William.


He will be dearly missed by his daughters Amy Organek (Dave) and Allison Hastings (Ian) and 5

grand children: Emma, Abby, and Sarah Hastings, and Max and Rebecca Organek. He will also

be missed by his dear friend Janet Gruver.


John was a retired civilian employee of the former Johnsville Naval Air Development Center in

Bucks County, Pennsylvania. John was an electrical engineer that worked on developing and

testing unusual communication systems and remote sensors for detecting vehicles and

personnel in the water and on land. This involved working in aircraft, boats and land vehicles

around the world, which he enjoyed.


He enjoyed auto repair, computers, DIY home projects, genealogy, photography and

woodworking. He also enjoyed helping others with their projects. Over the past few years John

was an active member of the Luthern Community at Telford, notably the Railroad Club, running

the weekly movie night, and a member of the dining advisory board.


There will be a Memorial Service for on Saturday October 26, 2024, at 2 PM at the Chapel at Lutheran Community 12 Lutheran Home Dr, Telford, PA 18969.
