John F. Smith

Smith John F., aged 82, passed away peacefully at home on April 7, 2024, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to parents John and Rose Smith on July 30, 1941, in Fort Washington, PA. He attended Upper Dublin High School. Beloved husband of Eleanor "Sandy" (nee Wright) for 56 years, devoted father to LoriAnne Rehrig and Ron Smith (Chrissie). Also survived by grandchildren Kayleigh, Phoebe, Ryan, and Stephen, along with his brother Thomas Smith (Beverly), and numerous nieces and nephews.

John was a proud graduate of Drexel University, where he studied electrical engineering and played football. He went on to become a significant contributor to the general aviation industry during his lifelong career where he developed a passion for flying as a pilot. He was an exceptionally kind, loving, and supportive husband, father and grandfather.

A Funeral Mass to honor John's life will take place at 11 AM on Friday, April 12th at St. Jude Church, located at 321 West Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914. Friends and family are welcome to pay their respects during visitation at the church starting at 10 AM on Friday. His final resting place will be Whitemarsh Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory to Saint Vincent de Paul Society (in care of St Jude Parish https://stjudechalfont.org/st-vincent-de-paul-society) would be appreciated.
