Joanne M. Cosminski

Joanne M. Cosminski, 65, of Silverdale, PA died peacefully at home on Thursday, December 10, 2020.  She was born January 23, 1955 in Philadelphia to Ann and the late William Becker, Jr.  Joanne grew up in Willow Grove, PA, graduated from Upper Moreland High School, and later earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from Gwynedd Mercy College.  She went on to acquire a Masters of Science in Nursing from the University of Pennsylvania.  Joanne retired in 2015 after a 37-year nursing career in a variety of disciplines.

Joanne is survived by sons Daniel Ehly (Christine) and Kevin Ehly (Chrisann Lucchetto), siblings William Becker (Monica), Stephen Becker, and Carol Doering (Todd), as well as her 12 nieces and nephews, and her golden retriever Taylor.  She was also thrilled to become a grandmother this year when Maxwell Ehly was born in March.  She was predeceased by her husbands Joseph Ehly (1996) and Stephen Cosminski (2013).

Joanne was an involved member of Calvary Church of Souderton, the Bux-Mont Coalition of Nurse Practitioners, and a volunteer for the American Red Cross.

Joanne lived life to the fullest, traveling the world from Ireland to Hawaii.  She was an adventurous scuba diver who also enjoyed gardening, bike riding, and spending time at the beach.  She had a wealth of wonderful friends with whom she enjoyed socializing, going to the theater, and spending "girls week" in Ocean City, NJ.  Joanne had a contagious smile and laugh that would illuminate any room.  She will be dearly missed by all.

There will be a private graveside interment.  A celebration of Joanne's life is to be held at a later date.
