Joan (Nomecos) Bell of Lansdale, PA went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, peacefully on May 3, 2024, at the Living Branches Retirement Community, Lansdale, PA. She was the wife of Gordon L. Bell for 36 years.



Born in Millville, NJ Joan was the daughter of the late Nicholas J and Catherine (Chilakos) Nomecos. Employed by Prudential Insurance Company in Millville, NJ. She was transferred to their Central Atlantic Home Office in Fort Washington, PA in 1969. She retired in 1994 after 37 years.



Joan was an active member of Lenape Valley Presbyterian Church in New Britain, PA since 1998 and enjoyed her involvement with small groups including the ALPHA Ministry, LVC Book Club, Mission Committee, and her bible study groups. Always ready to travel, Joan and Gordon visited all seven continents of the world and enjoyed many ocean cruises. As members of the New Jersey Lighthouse Society, they enjoyed touring many states, taking photos and climbing lighthouses. Her favorite spot in the world was Maui, Hawaii.



In addition to her husband, she is survived by a dear sister, Mary Nomecos Jones (Arthur), of Philadelphia, and two stepsons, Kenneth Bell (Beverly) of So. Daytona, FL and his sons Gregory, Brandon and Leighton, and Kurt Bell of Elizabethtown, PA (Michelle), and their sons, Cameron and Grayson.
