Jason R. Wosak

Jason Robert Wosak died peacefully on February 29, 2020 at the age of 52.

Jason grew up in Palmyra and as a youth, was an avid skateboarder. He was given the nickname "Mellow Cat" for his laid back demeanor. In high school he found his lifelong passion as an artist while attending summer classes at the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts. He graduated Palmyra High School in 1985, he left for the Navy in 1986 to serve on the USS Deyo (DD-989). He served two deployments to the Mediterranean and Persian Gulf. He was awarded an Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal for combat duty in the Persian Gulf during Operation Earnest Will in 1988.

Jason then went on to attend the University of South Alabama after he left the Navy. After 2 years, Jason dropped out in order to tour with his best friends band, Loppybogymi. He  moved to Nashville and started screen printing shirts and stickers for other local bands. After the band broke up he started a merchandising company, Everywear Printing, with the bands manager. In 1998 he co-founded T-Bones Records with his friend Tim Ramenofsky. Their first release was in 1998 with The Sexual Honky where he produced 2 songs. T-Bones Records eventually released 22 CD's with the highlight being his work on the Grammy-nominated album with Afroman. He eventually contributed artwork to over 50 releases by other bands.

Jason then moved back to Philadelphia with the love of his life, Julianna Meadows. They were married in 2002, and had their daughter Jessica on April 11, 2003. He continued his career as a graphic designer and web developer with FMP Media, and then 12 years at Vanguard in the corporate university. He left Vanguard in 2018 in order to return to his pursuits as an artist.

He is survived by his wife Julianna Meadows Wosak, and daughter Jessica, his mother, Marcia Connolly sisters Heidi Wosak, Karin Kane and Kirsten Connolly and Suzanne Parker.

Friends and family are invited to attend his Memorial Service , 4 PM, Saturday, March 7, 2020 at Schuylkill Friends Meeting House, 37 N Whitehorse Rd, Phoenixville, PA. Interment will be private.
