Jane Loretta Nagy

Jane Loretta Nagy (Griffith) passed away suddenly on January 21, 2021 at the age of 79.  Loretta was the beloved wife of the late Alex G. Nagy and loving mother to children Alex, David, Susan and son-in-law Michael. Besides her children, Jane is also survived by her brother Preston and the three greatest joys of her life, grandchildren Ian, Alexa and Aubrey.

Loretta was born and raised in Virginia by her parents, the late Earl and Sarah Griffith with her brothers Preston, Emory, and Arnold. She moved to Washington D.C. in her early twenties to work as a secretary for the State Department where she met her soon to be husband Alex.   Alex kept sitting next to Loretta in the pew at church while both were working in D.C.  While dating, Alex was transferred overseas to Germany where Loretta joined him. The two were married soon after in the town Bé¼rgermeister. It's a wonderful story they both loved to share. Upon returning to the United States they settled in New Jersey. Loretta was a stay-at-home mom to her three children until they were old enough for her to return to work. She then worked for PNC Bank as a teller and later was promoted to a position in the financial department. Once retired, Loretta’s time was spent as an invaluable resource in helping raise her most beloved grandchildren.

A private visitation and services will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Scanlin Funeral Home 175 East Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the American Diabetes Association ( www.diabetes.org/donate/donate-in-honor ) in her memory.
