James "Jim" Aldredge, 75, of Doylestown, PA, died unexpectedly from complications of surgery on August 11th, 2022. He was the beloved husband of Helen (Donnell) Aldredge; devoted father of Tyler Aldredge of Holliston, MA, Neil Aldredge and wife Tammy of Souderton, PA, Kristina Donnell of Dallas, TX, Susan Donnell Hemperly of Dallas TX, and William Donnell of Boyertown, PA; and loving "Poppy" to grandchildren Cian, Shea, Declan, Aidan, Rowan, Liam, Maura, Kelsey, Jordan, Kaity, Delaney, and Piper. Born on April 7th, 1947 in Philadelphia, PA, he was the son of the late Charlotte (Duty) Schillinger and husband John and brother to the late William Aldredge. He leaves behind many friends, neighbors, and former colleagues who will miss him dearly. Jim was very proud of his country and was honored to serve in the military. After finishing high school at Northeast High in Philadelphia, Jim enlisted in the US Navy Submarine Anti-Aircraft Division during the Vietnam War. He also served time in the Navy Reserves, and recently travelled to DC with other veterans on the Bucks County Tour of Honor. Jim earned his Associate's Degree in Computer Science at Bucks County Community College. He was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa, an international College Honor Society. Jim was also nominated and accepted to Who's Who Amongst Students in American Junior Colleges. He did all of this while also raising a family and advancing his career. He had a very successful career, working for almost 40 years, in sales and business management in the automotive, retail, and industrial gas industries. In recent years, his passions and pursuits were focused on his grandchildren, local politics, and creating a beautiful home with his wife at their antique colonial with award-winning gardens in Doylestown. He was well loved by the community and it was not uncommon for Jim to be welcoming neighbors and friends to enjoy company, conversation, and dining on his patio.
