Jacqueline (Jackie) E. (Shaw) Martin, passed away peacefully on January 01, 2022. She was 91 years of age and a resident of Montgomeryville, PA where she lived with her daughter Patricia C. Sowers for the past 29 years. Jackie was born on June 29, 1930 in Shamokin, PA to James and Luella Shaw. Jackie married Joseph G. Martin in Shamokin, PA on May 28, 1948. They lived in Shamokin, PA, Reading, PA, Port Reading, NJ, Philadelphia, PA and then in Bensalem, PA for about 23 years, where she was a long-time employee of Charmin Shoppes. Jackie’s children fondly remember her dedication to family with her culinary delights and most specifically her attention to homemade holiday candies, cakes and pies (most famously for her chocolate covered peanut butter eggs and chocolate coconut Easter eggs). Jackie was also a skilled seamstress who delighted in creating beautiful outfits for her girls in their early years. In past years, Jackie enjoyed sitting outside on her swing taking in the beautiful sunshine, warm breezes, bird watching and growing plants. She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph (September 1992) and daughter Marina C. (Martin) Robinson (married to Donald) (March 2010), grandson Donald C. Robinson, Jr. (July 2018) and sister Dolores (Shaw) Joraskie (May 2020). Survived by her daughters Judith A. (Martin) Hesdon (J. David), Donna M. (Martin) Roch (Thomas), Patricia C. (Martin) Sowers (Walter P. Heck) and son Joseph G. Martin, Jr. (Luane), son-in-law Donald C. Robinson Sr. Grandchildren, Sandi (Robinson) Emam, Joseph Robinson, James Robinson, Kristen (Hesdon) Borden, John David Hesdon, Jr., Thomas Matyjaszek, Nel (Roch) McGraw, Leanna (Roch) Collins, Keith Martin, Shawn Martin, Jackie (Martin) Martinez, Victoria Martin, M. Jeffrey Sowers, Erica (Sowers) Rothstein and Patrick Sowers. Jackie also had numerous great and great-great grandchildren. Relatives and friends are invited to her viewing Saturday January 8, 2022 from 10 to 11 AM followed by her funeral service at 11 AM at the Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, 175 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA 18914 with internment following at Forest Hills Cemetery, 25 Byberry Road, Huntingdon Valley, PA.
