Giuseppe Giambanco Age 70 Giuseppe “Joe” Giambanco of Chalfont, PA, proud owner of Pina’s Pizza III in Doylestown, PA, and native from Carini, Sicily passed away peacefully on February 7, 2022 at Grand View Hospital from a tough battle won by COVID. He was surrounded by his family as he took his last breath, but he did not go down without a fight. Joe was born in Sicily in 1952 and just recently celebrated his 70th birthday. He started working hard at a young age by helping his Father grow lemons in their grove. At the age of 13, he ventured over to Switzerland to explore the world and at age 17, he immigrated to the U.S. A few years later he married his wife, Lynn and together they built a beautiful life for their family. Joe spent his entire life working in a pizzeria -- long hours, long drives, always standing on his feet and NEVER taking a day off. Pizza was his LIFE. Joe is survived by his wife, Lynn (Russo) whom he was married to for 48 years, his three children, Anthony, Gino (Jennifer) and Lia, his grandson, Joseph, his four brothers, Salvatore, Nino (Giuseppina), Vincenzo (Rosa Maria), and Giovanni (Rosalia), and many nieces and nephews. Joe was a selfless man and never asked for anything for himself. He was extremely generous and provided for everyone around him. He loved listening to his Italian music and cooking large dinners that could feed an army. Throughout Joe’s life, he endured many health issues, but he constantly prevailed. In 2020, he received a kidney after being on the transplant list for four years and was given a new lease on life that ended way too soon. He was and will always be the strongest person we all know and love. He is our heart and the love of our lives. Our family will forever miss him. His family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, February 15, 2022 from 10:00am until his Funeral Mass, 11:00am in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church, 235 East State Street, Doylestown, PA 18901. His interment will follow at St. John Neumann cemetery in Chalfont, PA. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to The Gift of Life Donor Program at https://www.donors1.org/give-to-gift-of-life/. Organ donation saves lives and saved the life of our beloved Joe.
