George D. Mcmanus

George D McManus of Montgomeryville passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2019.  He was 90.

He was the beloved husband of June W McManus and son of the late John and Clara McManus. George is survived by his children Susan (Stephen)Sankowski, Barbara McManus (Richard Rusche) and John McManus. He was the proud grandfather of Keri Sankowski (Andrew De Marco) and Amy Sankowski. He was predeceased by his sister Elsie McManus Harder.

Born in Philadelphia, PA George enjoyed growing up in a big city. He was an insurance executive having worked for CIGNA for 47 years. He was a graduate of the University of Minnesota. George enjoyed summer vacations in Ocean City, NJ with his family. Upon his retirement in
1989 he enjoyed traveling the world with his wife and friends. George has lived in many places including Minneapolis MN, Des Moines IA, Grosse Pointe MI and Los Angeles CA.
George's service will be held in private for immediate family. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in George's memory to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org .
