“Fritz” (Frederic C.) Barth, a resident of Pine Run Community, died November 23, 2023, at age

90.  He and his wife, “Izzie” (Dolores I.) Barth, were married 70 years until she passed in 2022.

He grew up in the Roxborough neighborhood of Philadelphia and met Izzie as a student at

Albright College.

Fritz was the son of Frederic Christopher (Sr.) and Katherine Smith Barth (nee Kerper) and a

graduate of Roxborough High School, 1950, and Albright College, 1954 (Business and

Economics).

He was the father of four sons:  Stephen A., Philip K. (wife, Debbi), Frederic C., III (deceased)

and Roderick J.(deceased), 3 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren.

The Barths moved to Bucks County in 1958 and resided in the Chalfont area over fifty years.

For most of his career, he worked as the financial manager for the Dietrich

Foundation/Corporation in Philadelphia (1958-1996).  He performed free-lance tax return

services, incl. for merchant businesses (and a celebrity or two) in New Hope and Bucks County.

He also framed his wife Izzie’s extensive collection of watercolors for exhibition, locally & in New

York, and served as the New Britain Township tax collector.

Fritz and Izzie traveled extensively in the US, Canada, Europe, the Caribbean, Jordan and

Israel.  Many of these trips were to visit family, and “adopted” exchange students, but were also

related to their special interests.  Fritz was an avid photographer, documenting every stage of

his growing family, his friends, as well as his travels with Izzie, and underwater scenes. He

loved swimming, was an accomplished scuba diver, and much of Izzie’s art arose from these

trips.

Fritz volunteered with little league baseball coaching, soccer refereeing, and being a cast

member (with Izzie) of the Kouncil Kapers / Fractured Follies fund raiser for the Lenape Valley

Recreation Council.

He let go of this life to enter the next peacefully on Thanksgiving evening, brave, warm-hearted,

and thankful to the end, with family nearby.  He was a quiet but friendly man, not one to push

himself forward, and by all accounts was well liked. He was a loving and loyal anchor and

support; a good father, and will be sorely missed.
