Florence Theresa Hamberger

Florence Theresa (Metro) Hamberger, of Chalfont, PA, passed away Friday, 11/5/202, peacefully at home surrounded by her family. Born February 25, 1929 in Ridgway, PA, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Katherine (Waskewicz) Metro. She is survived by her son Raymond P. Hamberger (the late Nancy), daughter Amber Reynolds (the late James); three grandchildren Katherine Figenshu (Greg), Bryan Hamberger (Allyson) and Christopher Hamberger; two great grandchildren James Figenshu and soon to be born baby; and three nieces and several great nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by three brothers Richard (Geneva), Walter (Doris) and Leo. Florence grew up in Ridgway, PA and graduated from St. Leo Catholic High School in 1947. She moved to Levittown in 1959 and worked at RC Can and Boise Cascade until her retirement when she moved to Chalfont. She was known for her delicious gravy and holiday cookies. Watching the Eagles, doing embroidery, playing with her dogs and cats and doting on her grandchildren and great grandchildren were her favorite pastime. She was looking forward to meeting her second great grandchild. Services are private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to St. Jude Church, 323 W.
