Elsie Lucille Smith

Elsie Lucille Smith, a resident of Lansdale, PA, passed away Tuesday, December 14, 2021 at the age of 81. She was born on July 26, 1940 in Buckhannon, West Virginia, a daughter of the late French and Marguerite Taylor. She graduated from North Penn High School in 1958 and later in life returned to school to earn her Bachelor of Sciences degree at Ursinus College. Elsie worked until the age of 80, most recently as a financial assistant for Advanced Living Communities. In her spare time she enjoyed reading and researching her family ancestry. Elsie was preceded in death by her daughter Virginia L. Smith and her two brothers Donald F. Taylor and Ronnie Joe Taylor. She is survived by her loving children Robin R. (John) Wagner of Russell, PA, Rodger L. (Linda) Smith of Lansdale, PA, her sisters Patricia (Frank) Potser of Hatfield and Sharon (John) Thornberry of Quakertown, sisters-in-law Barbara (Don) Taylor and Emily (Ronnie Joe) Taylor, her devoted grandchildren Erin, John (Alisa), Kristen, Rebecca, Callie, and Rodger Jr., and her nieces and nephews. Friends and family are invited to celebrate her life at the Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home, 175 E Butler Ave, Chalfont, PA 18914, where her viewing will be held from 9:00 - 10:30 AM on Saturday, December 18. A funeral service will follow at Whitemarsh Memorial Park, 1169 Limekiln Pike, Ambler, PA 19002. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a charity of your choosing in memory of Elsie Smith.
