Elsie Elene Capocasale

Elsie Elene Capocasale (nee Scoppo) of North Wales, passed away peacefully with her sons by her side on April 13, 2023 at the age of 91. Beloved wife of the late Renold A. for 58 years and devoted mother to Renold Julius (Nancy) and Robert Gian (Christine) Capocasale. Loving Nonna to Andrew (Kiamesha) Green, Katherine (Samuel) Edwards, Alexandra, Renold, John and Mark Capocasale. Also, great grandmother to Dilynn and Benjamin Green and aunt to many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Alfonso and Fannie Scoppo, siblings Mary (Pat) Cimino, Thelma (Joe) Parlato and baby brother Julius and niece Dolly Gogliettino.

Elsie was born in Brooklyn, New York. Elsie graduated from Bay Ridge High School and met the love of her life, Renold ( Rennie) while taking classes at Saint John’s University. They were married on Sept 9th, 1961. Elsie, Rennie and their eldest son moved to Milan, Italy and Lausanne, Switzerland for almost a three-year adventure supporting Rennie’s career marketing Main-frame computers at Sperry Univac. They eventually settled in Dresher, PA to raise their sons. Elsie enjoyed being a homemaker and was a volunteer for the Red Cross for over 20 years. She was an active member at Saint Rose of Lima Catholic Church in North Wales, PA, devoting her time to the choir, serving as President of the Legion of Mary and an Eucharistic Minister.

Relatives and friends are invited to the viewing on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 from 2pm-4pm and 6pm-8pm at the Scanlin-McDonald Funeral Home,175 E. Butler Avenue, Chalfont, PA, 18914. A viewing will begin at 10 am on Thursday, April 20, 2023at St. Rose of Lima Church, 424 S. Main St. North Wales, PA 19454 followed by Mass at 11 am. Interment will be at St. John Neumann Cemetery, Chalfont, PA
