Ella Mae Horter

Ella Mae Horter (Johnson), age 84 passed away peacefully on Tuesday April 15, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Ella Mae and Thomas B. Johnson. She is survived by her devoted husband Harold R. Horter, her daughters Helen K. Weiner (Michael) and Sharon Reilly (the late Robert Reilly). Her grandchildren Rachel Reilly (fiancé Kevin Budnick), Amber Hamilton (Scott) and Katie Sikon (Shaun). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Ella was the youngest of eight children. She is survived by her sister Ruth and Laura’s daughter Mickey. She is predeceased by Laura, Mary, Grace, Faith, Thomas and John. Ella was completely devoted to her husband and family. They always came first in her life. Her happiest moments were spending time with her family. She enjoyed sewing, stamp and coin collecting, genealogy, planting a garden in her backyard and most of all cooking for her husband and family. She will be greatly missed always and forever. Her favorite saying was “Love you to the moon and back”.

Services and interment are private. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to support The EVAN Foundation Treats & Treasures Cart Program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
