Edwin W. White

Edwin W. White, passed away as a result of an accident at home in Telford, PA on Tuesday, August 28, 2018. He was 77.

Ed was the husband of the late Ruth T. White. They were married for 38 years. Ed showed his love for Ruth by his total care for her at home in her final years and meeting her every need.

Born in Chalfont, PA, Ed was the third son of the late Earl and Margaret (Andre) White. Ed was self-employed in construction and was the owner of EW Equipment Rental and EW Tapping Services. He was a lifelong member of Pleasantville United Church of Christ, a member of the North Penn Model A Club, National Guard, Shriner and a member of Jenkintown Masonic Lodge #67 as a 32 ^nd Degree Mason. Ed treasured his family and many friends and never hesitated to lend a helping hand, asking nothing in return.

Ed was a "doer" and could fix anything mechanical. He enjoyed gardening and taking care of his home, but always had time for a friend in need. His newest passion was owning 3 Longhorn: Dots, Daisy Bell and Duke. To keep busy you might find him on a long bike ride with Robert and friends or spending time with his dear friends: Elaine & Paul Barndt, Bev & Alan Greer and Tammy & Bob Kwortnik.

He is survived by his stepdaughter, Barbara Anne Baus (the late Richard), granddaughters Katherine Hope, Kristina Lynne and Courtney Anne Baus; brothers Earl, Ernest (Elsie) and Robert (the late Frances). Ed's family and many friends will miss his kindness , laugh and great smile.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Ed's life on Saturday, September 22, 2018 with a memorial service at Pleasantville United Church of Christ, 3424 Limekiln Pike, Chalfont. The service will begin at 11 am. The family will receive guests between 9-11 am. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ed's name to Pleasantville United Church of Christ at the above address.
