Edward J. Tobler

Edward James Tobler, of Philadelphia, on November 18, 2022, at the age of 53, passed away at home surrounded by his loving family. Ed was the caring husband of Dawn (nee. Reick) for 25 years, and the father to Julia, Allison, Edward and Anna. Ed was the son of Edward and Eleanor, and brother to Patrick, Traci and Katie. Ed will also be missed by his extended family as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws.

Ed grew up in the Lawncrest area of Philadelphia and attended Cardinal Dougherty High School where he graduated in 1987. After high school, Ed went on to continue his education at Penn State where he graduated in 1991. Ed worked for 31 years at AAA Club Alliance, where he was Senior Vice President of Car Care and Retail. He loved his work family and was grateful to have spent over 3 decades with them.

Ed was happiest when he was with his family. He greatly enjoyed being with his children at all of their sporting events and spending time with his siblings, friends, and extended family.

He especially enjoyed spending football Sundays with the Alminde Family, playing golf, and having plenty of summer fun at the Whitman Swim Club. He also enjoyed every Tobler Wildwood Weekend and Outer Banks trips.

Relatives and friends are invited to Ed’s Life Celebration on Wednesday, November 23rd at St. Charles Borromeo R.C. Church, located at 176 Stagecoach Road Sicklerville, NJ 08081, visitation is from 10:00am to 12:00pm followed by Mass starting at 12:00pm. A private family interment will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Ed’s memory to the Kidney Cancer Association, a global community dedicated to serving and empowering patients and caregivers, and leading change through advocacy, research, and education.
